The NSS is part of the Youth Welfare Programme of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India. The main objective of this programme is to train the student in community service and there by develop the personality of the students. It promotes among students the spirit of service to fellowmen. NSS unit of Sri Sathya Sai Arts and Science College consists of 50. A student volunteer, who completes 240 hours of social work during the course of two years, is eligible for University NSS certificate. Keeping the NSS motto in heart, “Not me, but you”, the unit, every year carries out programme that aims at helping the society.
To build the youth with the mind and spirit to serve the society and work for the uplift of the down-trodden.
The National Service Scheme has been functioning with the motto “Not ME BUT YOU” and aims at education through community service and thereby developing the personality of the volunteers.
