Objectives of IQAC

TThe National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) propos- es an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in every accredited institution for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education (HEI). The IQAC will be a part of the institution’s system and work towards achieving the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The key task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the institution.

The IQAC of Sri Sathya Sai Arts & Science College plays a key role in ensuring the creation of a learner-centric environment encouraging quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowl- edge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process. The IQAC also plays a pivotal role in timely documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement. It also ensures the effective functioning of other bodies within the college for monitoring and decision-making process.

Functions of IQAC

  • Work towards maintaining the quality standards for various academic and administrative activities of the institution
  • Facilitate a student-centric environment to ensure quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • Documentation of the various programmes and activities conducted by the institution leading to quality improvement
  • Periodic assessment on quality-related institutional processes by taking feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders
  • Organizing inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
  • Act as a nodal unit of the Institution for augmenting quality – related activities
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC
