Clubs & Association

Arts Club

The Arts Club functions as a platform to foster the students’ talents in both arts and music. It organises various programmes with the intention of imparting a passion for all forms of art among students. It marks its presence in all cultural events taking place in the college. It provides a practice space for students and co-ordinates programmes on the campus. It arranges interactive sessions between the students and veteran artists. The club ensures its members’ participation in the college level and the university level youth festivals. The screening for the selec- tion of participants for the events and their training sessions are also monitored by the club.

Literary Club

The literary club is a paradise for thinkers, readers, and writers. It is the place where students are free to think, read and write on the topics of their interest and choice. The club is also a forum where students share their insights on politics, philosophy, spirituality etc. Its vision is to inculcate a fondness for language among students and enhance their critical thinking, reading, and writing skills.

The debate section of the club aims to develop critical thinking and speaking skills of the students and thereby nurture promising debat- ers into future leaders. The quiz section aims to develop knowl- edge-based information in students. The ultimate objective of the club is to augment the cognitive, social and communication skills of the students to help them become more active and productive citizens. Activities planned include audition, inauguration, training session, practise sessions and organising intra-departmental and inter-collegiate quiz and debate contests.

Nature Club

Nature provides us with all the essentials for our daily needs. Conserva- tion of these assets has become need of the time. It’s our responsibility to leave this planet in better shape for the future generation and advocate the necessity of sustainable development. ‘SERVE AND PRESERVE’ being our motto, through organizing various eco-friendly activities, Nature Club aims to create awareness, motivate and educate students about their commitment towards environment and develop leadership qualities through interdisciplinary group activities and service programs which widen their perspective regarding environment.

Science Club

Sri Sathya Sai Arts and Science college hosts a number of clubs for its students. One such club is The Science Club. The Science club is orga- nized to inculcate in students the scientific attitude, the urge to explore and the zest to know the unknown. It encourages students to ask ques- tions and sought solutions to real life problems. One of its major objec- tives is to give a flavour of what science is to the students who has less or no access to the scientific world. It also helps it's members and non-members (through The Science Corner- notice board) to update themselves with the recent happenings in the world of science.

ED Club

The main objective of the Entrepreneurship Development Club is to infuse creativity and innovation among the students of our college. The State Government is encouraging the initiatives to promote Entre- preneurship among the students. The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Kerala, in association with Education Department formulated a Scheme to set up “Entrepreneurship Devel- opment Clubs in colleges of the state to inculcate “Entrepreneurship Culture among the Youth”. The entrepreneurship Development club is functioning in our college to inculcate entrepreneurship culture among youth and equip them with the knowledge, skill, techniques and confidence.

Library Club

The library club provides opportunities for the students to exchange their ideas on books. It also helps to discuss about books and authors. Thus, the clubs aim at creating awareness about books and journals among the students.
